A single tiny mycena mushroom with a cream-colored, umbonate cap and a long, hollow beige stem grows among autumn leaves on a forest floor. There’s a minuscule fungus gnat with long antennae perched upside down on the edge of the cap.

Collection of nine closeup photos I took of nature scenes. Most feature the pixie cup lichen with tall light green stalks gradually flaring into goblet-shaped cups growing from a leafy patch on rotting wood. There’s one macro shot of a yellow-green inchworm looking like a mini brachiosaurus.

I love that I have so many of my own nature photo as refs and inspiration for art that I’m making. This way I can avoid all the fake ugly slop that’s invading the net. Good life hack 🌿

These drawings are amazing. Miyamoto quote from an interview: “I was a rather analog person and did not know anything about technology. So, I learned how the screen was displayed from an in-house engineer. That's how I started doing pixel art.”

Since I enjoy making physical art lately, I decided to draw pixel characters on 5mm square graph paper. It’s very fun and puzzly, and it made me think of how the Super Mario Bros. sprites were first sketched :)

A cluster of mycena mushrooms grows out of a gnarly rotting log. They have conical to flat rosy beige caps, yellowish to brown stems and a speckled, fuzzy white base. A tiny one has fallen over showing off its prominent gills.

The Samsung YP-U2 digital audio player, a compact white UBD drive with a 1" 128x64 negative (white font, black background) LCD screen saying “SYSTEM-LOADING 40%” and a progress bar of 5 squares with 2 filled in. Plugged-in earbud headphones are light wood with burgundy ear tips and a paradord cable.

Needed a simple compact MP3 player and remembered I still have this Samsung YP-U2. Plug-in USB to charge, almost 20 years old and still works! Love the little loading screen :D

Thank you! Yeah the Zelda stuff is so cute and special bugs would be awesome. I wish they‘d release some new inventive furniture sets, but they’ll probably hold that off until the next game.
