Every age has its own thing but newborn’s are definitely a lot. I don’t miss the lack of sleep, diapers, feedings, etc.

Agreed. Last year I had to rent a truck from Home Depot after the chain broke on my bakfiets when I was downtown. There was no shop within pushing distance and the only mobile mechanic in our area was unavailable. Definitely one of the disadvantages of owning a large cargo bike.

Looking forward to it! I wish I could say our walking/biking infrastructure here in Phoenix is as good as our weather right now.

I have thought of this quote a lot and shared it with lots of people. Helped me point out how car brained we have been guided to be: we have assumed it is a right to have a car wherever we want and gov should help us store it? Wrong. City spaces are meant for people not cars :)

I was in Columbus for the holidays visiting family and was really bummed by the crappy conditions of the sidewalks even without the snow/ice. Not sure if it’s indicative of the entire city but where we were(Franklin Park) they were/are not in good condition.

Can a cargo bike replace a delivery van? In NYC, the answer is increasingly yes.

Tern cargo-bike rigs are completing up to 360 deliveries per day, running nearly 20 hours in rotation, and operating at a fraction of a van’s cost.

Who is on the open market that will be an upgrade? Daboll? What a horrible decision.

Always enjoy supporting my local coffee shop, but this 6 lane stroad that sits outside the front door really bums me out. My city, @cityofphoenix needs to do better. #stroad

We have a 18 hole city owned golf course here in Phoenix which I find incredibly stupid for a vast number of reasons. Really poor land use in the middle of a city.

I worked with a few other advocates and parents to organize and put together the first(of hopefully many) Kidical Mass event here in Phoenix Arizona back in October. Turn out and feedback was amazing and we’ll hopefully be doing another in the spring.

It seems like all the talent has gone over to television. I do miss good movies though. 2ish hours of entertainment with a beginning, middle, and end. Some of these tv shows are great but I’ve grown tired of having them spread out over several years.

Hawk crossings are certainly a start but the slow rate at which Phoenix is deploying them it’s a bit like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound.

No More Warnings: Phoenix changes jaywalking policy as pedestrian deaths rise City leaders are getting tougher on jaywalking, ending warnings and issuing immediate citations while investing millions of dollars to make crossing the streets safer.

Jaywalking was a creation of the automobile industry. Continuing to criminalize it will not prevent injury and death, only safety focused street design can do that.

Pre-Christmas date night bike ride downtown for dinner. No messing arount with traffic, parking, or stopping for gas.
Hopefully lots more biking, walking, and public transport to come in 2026! @cityofphoenixaz.bsky.social

One sign, photographed by The Denver Gazette on Friday evening at E. Colfax Ave & Lincoln St near the Colorado Capitol, shared the message 'Cars ruin cities.'"

My heart can’t take much more of this. Really hoping we can soundly destroy the Browns next week, but something tells me it won’t be that easy.

America’s plan to protect pedestrians failed. A young woman’s death reveals why. U.S. officials adopted Europe's Vision Zero initiative, but many cities have seen an increase in pedestrian fatalities despite efforts to improve road safety.

Vision Zero is a failure in the US because our city, state, and federal leaders don't have the backbone to stand up to a minority of citizens who would rather see people die on our streets than have their commutes slightly impacted.

Picked up an electric auger from my neighborhood Toolshed using the @ternbicycles.com HSD. Going to dig some holes for trees that will be plated in the spring.
