It doesn’t feel like we are very powerful when we see things like gerrymandering and voter intimidation available to people who don’t want everyone who is eligible to vote or for our votes to make a difference.

You are right. The policies don’t appeal to everyone. Some Democrats want every Democratic politician to support every policy they support…or else. It is hard to fight from the minority, but when people like Schumer say he wrote a letter with some very strong points, I think it makes supporters mad.

They know that the Democratic Party is not unpopular because of its policies. It is unpopular because it won’t fight for its policies. Newsom’s team is fighting ❤️

So unbelievable that the photographs from World War II concentration camps don’t remind Israelis what genocide looks like.

When I was much younger, I listened to Rush Limbaugh and watched Conservatives on television. I sort of had a crush on Bill Kristol. I am so glad his politics changed in the same way mine did so I can still sort of have a crush on him.

It may be too late, but I guess maybe Democrats should try to do something.

And that was their decades-long plan. We are so late to the game of having plans. We seem to just react to their plans or do nothing.

Exactly. We elect the same people over and over, and those people have the big money on their side. Why would they rock that boat? A plan needs to be made by people who don’t have political skin in the game I guess.

I think simple is the key!

The Republicans seem to have been working on plans for decades. Democrats don’t seem to have plans. Is it because we can’t agree on a plan? We seem to be surprised when Republican’s plans become reality. Even when the results are illegal we can’t seem to stop their plans.

Democrats may need plans like Gingrich’s “Contract With America” or “Project 2025.” I know we have trouble agreeing on things, but there must be a few things we can use as a framework. We could start with a few Constitutional rights maybe. I think you could do this for us.

It is confusing that images like this are the result of the actions of people who are living on this land because atrocities like this were perpetrated upon their own people.

So if they decide to arrest Obama and try him, is there anyone who could stop them?

I realized listening to your interview with Tim Miller that my not wanting to make small donations to candidates because I don’t think Chuck Schumer is the best person for his job, etc. may be just as damaging as my thirty-something children not wanting to vote for “imperfect” candidates.

1/ If Justice Barrett thinks we need to go back to what the Founding Fathers intended, I’ve got news for her. Their biggest concern was avoiding tyranny. So they created 3 branches of gov’t & divvied up the power the people (that’s us) were allowing the gov’t to use to create order for all of us.
