UNAIDS chart, showing the additional deaths per year 2025 - 2029, leading to a cumulative total of 6.3 million people.

It was hoped that we could end AIDS deaths by 2030.
Instead, it is now projected that an additional 6.3 million people will die of AIDS if US global aid (specifically PEPFAR) is not restored.
This assumes all else remains even.
If the UK and others also reduce aid these figures could be even worse.
