I've always wondered what I could write a book on.... I now know... A parent trapped in the childcare system. The continual failures by those who are meant to have the interests of children at the heart of what they do is staggering. I've met some fabulous people but not in the quantity needed...

🎭 After 33 years away, I took to the stage as Aladdin in @TheatreAdhoc’s Christmas panto.

Amazing to have rediscovered an old passion, growing in confidence, & being inspired by an awesome cast (especially our young performers!).

My best drawing in art was a picture of Graham Taylor. I absolutely did trace it from the front of a @watfordfc.bsky.social programme. I was congratulated by the teacher and given a B+. They did wonder why the rest of my artwork was sh*t!

It’s only taken 5 years to get the result of a diagnosis for my daughter. Imagine if a) people had listened to us back then, b) there had been proper funding for children’s mental health services and c) everyone working with her knew 5 years ago what we know now.

Just realised it’s 19 days until opening night of our panto with #theatreAdHoc and our version of #ALADDIN 🎭

My first stage performance in over 30 years too. Really enjoying rehearsals and cannot wait to bring this to life.
