At last a chip targeted firmly at my own personal demographic.

The NYT Spelling Bee word lists typically include English words, Hawaiian words (but not all Hawaiian words!), random slang the editor thinks is words and items on the menu at Indian restaurants.

The decisions about what to include and what not to include are often confounding.

Yeaaaaah. I tried not to dwell on that TOO much but hmmm.

I couldn’t sleep and read it overnight. I love this series and the characters and all so a little insomnia wasn’t so bad. Thanks. 8)

(I did finally get to sleep.)

And conversational English is ALWAYS the slowest possible way to give me answers to things. I don't want to have conversations with my computer. My computer is a dumb tool and I know how to work it. Just give me dumb tools that do what I want and leave off the condescending conversational nonsense.

No, fucker, I KNOW but I'm looking for information and trying to narrow things down! I don't need comic strips explained to me and I don't need condescending glorified teakettles to talk down to me. I just want to read things and look things up.

I think I wouldn't mind AI results on my searches and stuff like Facebook if it wasn't always so insultingly stupid. Under a comic strip: "What's the story of this comic strip?" is a suggested question. On a lyric search: "You seem to be mistaken. That song is not by [foo]."

Oh hey, welcome to the club.

I can trace mine back to a number of industrial shows in the 90s.

Welcome to the internet ca. 2003

Important to note that Youtube did not exist, and this is the kind of quality shit you would get handed as a .avi file on a zip disk from a friend at school, who had downloaded it from some shady Limewire or Hotline server.

Left out DADO, a totally common carpentry term too.

Also if the characters for "ANTI" are in there you should be able to tack it onto any noun.

Yeah, they're really spotty on non-English words in general, I think. Like, if it's on a menu somewhere it's good but if not, it's a tossup.

That seems to be a theme, considering a certain vastly popular series about shape-changing wizards and how that all continues to very disappointingly go down. (Although later deeper readings seem to indicate that was there all along...)
