I love Bernie Sanders and there’s definitely folks who can do a great job regardless of age. The issue is this:

Trump and the Republicans are trying to starve 43 million Americans to end healthcare subsidies for 20 million Americans so they can give handouts to 1,000 billionaires.

Here’s what’s at stake in the shutdown:

If Republicans get their way, 50,000 Americans will die unnecessarily every year.

15 million will lose their health care.

20 million will see their premiums double.

All so they can give a trillion dollar tax break to the 1%.

And JD Vance already showed he has no problem bombing a California highway to stroke his ego

Newly built data centers specializing in AI slop, plagiarism, and grift should not be allowed to drive up electricity costs for ordinary people.

The reason Memphis is getting attacked by ICE is because Elon Musk is poisoning the air with his and people are protesting.

Both things can be true. Age is the issue and so is corporate fealty.

We need mandatory retirement ages and term limits for every government office. These 60, 70, and 80 year olds holding us hostage before dying of old age in Congress, the Supreme Court, and the White House don’t have to live through the horrific shit they’re doing to us.
