Yeah I was totally on board for the first 2 episodes, then they took a weird detour through the Mirror Universe and picked up Mirror Georgiou which I think was supposed to be high camp but was played too straight and didn't work for me. As you said, whiplash! I did enjoy the last 2 seasons though

Interesting how quickly so many people devolve into thin arguments about electoral viability or abstract hypos about the quality of an immigrant when it's obvious that this is just racial for some people. Like at base the argument against open borders only makes sense from a racial perspective.

People can have different political opinions about immigration policy. Political differences are fine, healthy for a democracy.

But if you’re okay with this, that’s not a political opinion. That is a moral failing.
