Back home. Quick bite to eat. The cake and brownies I’ve made are in a bag as are prizes for Mr Boden’s raffle 😁….looking forward to an evening at Royal Trads with tunes, house songs and the wonderful Jackie Oates. Case packed too as staying over so will be heading to our Sheffield b&b first. 🎶🎻🎼

Late night/early start. My 30 something daughter’s graduation ceremony is today. I’m a very #proudmama. She’s worked so hard - studying whilst holding down a full time job and raising a little one. She now has her Cert Ed and a full time permanent teaching post at a local college. Go my girl! 💖🎓

One of the best gigs ever tonight with the fabulous Merry Hell. Had a dance with Virginia too 💖

I went to Nepal twice in 2012. Once solo and once with my daughter. I’d love to go again one day 🇳🇵

What an exhausting week so far. After work tomorrow I then have a bonkers (but fun!) weekend. Filey and back, Bridlington and back, Sheffield overnighter. 3 gigs, a graduation ceremony, Sunday lunch and Xmas shopping. Think I was wise to book next Monday off- will be in need of a jolly good rest! 😂

Our winter thrushes are arriving. I’ve been listening out on a night for the “ seep-seep” calls of Redwings. They often arrive in the dark. No joy here yet but a friend who lives in Exeter has had them in his garden today. I do like Redwings- some photos here that I’ve taken in the past ♥️

Another Oct gig booked. Been wanting to see this fab band. They’re actually coming to The Ropewalk in my town but @anniehornerglis.bsky.social and I can’t make that night. So Cafe #9 in Sheffield it is 😁♥️🙌

Thank God I didn’t leave 5 mins early after visiting my Tuesday lunchtime lady. She suddenly became very ill and I knew it was a TIA. Ambulance came within half hour - she’s now in hospital. Very distressing and traumatic experience for both of us 🥹 Just glad I hadn’t left.

Fun, bonkers and an alternative, not-so-folky gig. Most enjoyable and a great atmosphere. Hope&Social are coming to The Ropewalk in my town in Sept next year so will look forward to seeing them again there. Excited to be going back to The Crescent next month to see the mighty Talisk again :-) ♥️
