The rhetoric that "if you aren't using AI, your competitors are using it to get ahead of you" is tech company marketing BS and people are repeating the grift. LLMs cannot come up with new ideas. We have to teach critical thinking, problem solving, reading books, trying/failing at new things.

Yes and no. I'm not working on a project that calls for this kind of music right now. But I'm trying to keep the musical engine primed and this is this is the kind of thing I find myself working on when I just sit down with the guitar.

Do you have music and SFX covered already? I just finished doing audio for a Shining/liminal space kind of project and would love to keep the fires stoked in the direction for a bit.

That's an interesting callout. Combining the music/sound and technical skillsets has been the goal, but I suppose I've been approaching it from the "music guy who can dev a bit" rather than the other way around. I do wonder if audio programmer roles are more common than composer/SFX ones.
