Two cats float by blowing gum bubbles above a UFO with two aliens. The hype slug yells "Let's go!" on their front lawn. The Garbage Ape, holding two garbage cans, runs down the street, followed by his fairy godmother. And, of course, Jimmy the frog is standing on the sidewalk, staring blankly. Heathcliff and Iggy smile at the sight, and Iggy says "It's going to be a great year.

so I decided to reread Incredible Hulk #467, a comic that read like a sledgehammer when it dropped in 1998 and reads even more like a self-eulogy 27 years on

it’s a story partly about how much of a mistake it is to put so much of yourself in stories someone else owns, and how transient that is …

got a korok infestation and now my apartment is full of puzzles. not even good ones, just dreck like a rock next to the toilet. they look at me when i solve them and i have to act like i had fun because my smart fridge is a mandatory reporter.

But here come some comic “art” bores complainin about the quality of art as if the most vapid books haven’t BEEN whats keeping publishers afloat forEVER.

Trust, there’s a race and class component. But do I need to spell it out? Everyone knows already. Whole world is burnin, shut the fuck and draw.

I love comics. I love comic shops. I love the people who make em, I love the people who buy em. Comics. Just great stuff.
