We in a new era of lawlessness w/ concentration camps & officers of the court willing to carry out the will of the regime, but too embarrassed?ashamed? to say who they are as they do it. If you are going to act as an arm of this state in immigration court, you have a duty to identify yourself.

Important story! Tenants are losing water bc landlords don’t pay the bill. LL have 💦 at their houses, but fail to pay the bill at properties they own and have the bill in their name. Imagine this summer w/o water!

Let’s go back to 2014 and recognize that putting families in congregate shelter puts kids in danger & (re) traumatizes families. Let’s choose safety & health and veer away from this path. Policy is a moral choice here!

Legal Services helps all DC residents access not just the legal system, but essential services. This helps create better long term outcomes for DC residents.

Moral of the story! Access to justice matters, legal services matter to make DC services work. DC residents can’t access basic DC services without lawyers & we need to fully fund ATJ services.

Justice Sotomayor issues a call we should all answer: “If you’re not used to fighting, and losing battles, then don’t become a lawyer,” she said. “Our job is to stand up for people who can’t do it themselves.”
“Right now,” she added, “we can’t lose the battles we are facing.”

Feds issue stop work order for legal services for unaccompanied immigrant children A Michigan agency that serves hundreds of local unaccompanied youth said it will lose about 80% of its staffing because of cuts.
