I rewatched Garden State during a 14 day Covid quarantine and, man, it really is a bad movie. We were all just mesmorized by the soundtrack.

Sometimes when I'm with my family I feel very morose and think "it's like that Coldplay scene in Garden State" and then I suddenly snap out of it because I remember that Garden State fucking sucks and I'm actually just being dramatic.

I'm also constantly amazed how people crucify dog owners if their dog gets out or, God forbid, they try to surrender a dog ethically. Generally the same folks who'd spit at unhoused people 🙃

This is also a classic instance of "Elise does things the hard way," in which I could have used an easy web builder like Squarespace or Wix but decided NO. I MUST LEARN AN ENTIRELY NEW YET ALSO OUTDATED SKILL. Wish me luck.

I thought it would be cute and fun to make my own HTML website/personal blog but I realize now I'm in too deep and about to spend the next 3 weeks of my life consumed by HTML and CSS instructional videos 😬

I took my small, senior dog to the vet this week and she told me he was in excellent health. All bloodwork was good, heart and lungs sounded great. I was like "oh..."
