16.11.2025 16:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thus proving the original point that men don't have the skill set to survive alone. This thread has 3 men so far that can ONLY COUNT THE NUMBER OF FEMALES AVAILABLE, and not understand the ORIGINAL MESSAGE about the difference between men & women when it comes to life skills!
Thank you for playing!
Veggie Bovril? Wait, is that not just Marmite? I've never had Bovril to know, but I do love my Marmite.
16.11.2025 08:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Excellent. I paid for the ads. I could tell you needed help!
Wait, did I really spell 'lads' wrong? Still, that ironing is not going to do itself, right? π€·ββοΈ
Lol! Logic??? Logic! π€¦ββοΈ So, YOU'RE saying that THEIR generalised opinion that men and women are differently equipped for life skills is flawed??? Excellent. I can't wait to hear YOUR forthcoming correct version of THEIR opinion! Go...
15.11.2025 23:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You think THAT'S bad???
I voted for Tony Blair back in the day. I was IN Downing Street on the 2nd May 1997, and gleefully shook his hand as he made his way through the crowd to #10. He was going to save us! The third way... we VOTED, for the THIRD WAY, and we got... spin doctors!
Omgfg.
πππ I do love a good chilli sin carne though. ππ
15.11.2025 23:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've never missed any of it ever. I gave it up for reasons that I didn't like it in the first place! π
15.11.2025 22:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OMG! Same! I've eaten about maybe 10 fish ever, never tasted steak, never had chilli con carne, never any seafood... never had a burger even! Sausages, bacon and chicken are about the only things I can remember eating with any regularity. Oh, bit of turkey once a year, and maybe pork once or twice.

15.11.2025 22:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Lol! I thought it was just me! Most vegetarians I know became so for animal rights (...etc.) reasons. Me? I didn't like eating meat! Veggie for 46 years and counting...

Yeah, no I get that. I was just being pedantic about veganism being about exploitation rather than harm alone.
On your point of reuse, a friend moved into a new place which came with a full 3 piece leather suite. We got it for almost nothing. She said that as a vegan it felt "icky" to keep it! π€·ββοΈπ
The definition of veganism - as explained by began friends - isn't the harm bit, it's that they don't exploit any living animals in any way. That obviously encompasses the whole harm thing, but goes beyond it too. Honey is an example where beekeeping is beneficial, but honey collection exploitative.
15.11.2025 18:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Then there's the whole vegan transport thing: On the assembly line, vehicle manufacturers protect internal chassis with cavity waxes. For increasing sustainability and ecological reasons, most of these now contain lanolin, obtained from sheep's wool.

15.11.2025 13:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cooking one evening when I lived in Putney, I lifted a handful of chopped garlic and onion to throw into the pot. Ding-dong! Threw it back onto the board to answer the door. The hand thrust out to shake my wet garlicky own was David Mellor looking for my vote. One of my better political statements.

15.11.2025 12:14 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No, you extrapolating a message about general differences in male and female life-skill sets, to think that they were saying there was a pool of single women just waiting for married men to become available was the issue! You missed their point was all. I was happy to supply it.
15.11.2025 11:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So are you saying ALL women over a certain age are either married or divorced with nothing in between or where do you get this "logic" from?
There's an entire spectrum of "relationship status" out there, in every age range, so trying to apply "this ergo that" logic to that is the flaw.
Well, you've changed your tune! Why didn't you say that in the first place, instead of going all borderline incel on us? Proof??? It's anon-opin! It's a sweeping generalised OPINION that you didn't even UNDERSTAND until I pointed it out in the last message, then you try your best to blame the OP. π€¦ββοΈ

The message is that men haven't got the tools to live alone, women do. There's no maths involved.
There's something a little chilling in your responses that you still can't see that.
The other fess is that she was meant to be going out for a meal with her husband, but feigned being sick so she could get some uncomplicated "alone time".
14.11.2025 22:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ah, the c word! Every night I set out the single-cup cafetiΓ¨re, coffee cup, bag of coffee and scoop, the whole lot on a tray beside the watered-up kettle, so that it's all ready for morning recaffeination. Not for me - my wife gets up earlier than I do. I do it all again when I get up though! π
14.11.2025 21:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Underrated statement. In my sphere of male friends, quite a lot of them suffer from "failure to launch". They haven't the life skills to be able to make it alone. Not in any comfortable way. Generalised statement I know, but I've seen it sooo many times. Women in the same position become stronger.
