I read this too my son yesterday at about 11:30 and advised him he only had 30 minutes left. When midnight rolled around he looked at me and said “See, 2026 is already not delivering on its promise.”

My friend did this a couple of years ago. They had a big New Year’s Eve party which started at 3. At 7 we all celebrated New Years in Paris and then we all went home. Their daughter was 7 at the time, it was perfect.

I had a kitchenaid for years. I spent $150 every year on the maintenance plan which covered a service guy and all parts. I always got my moneys worth from that plan as the dishwasher would break every 3-4 months. 1/2

We had (after removal of beef fat and bone) 14oz of meat left from the standing rib roast. So I made roast beef hash. It was delicious, fed 4, and there was none left to save.

I once was able to recreate a “Gateau au Chocolate” recipe my grandmother and mother made by using both their recipe cards and piecing the actual directions together by filling in the gaps from each recipe card with the other.

I make something very similar and let me tell you what a pain in the ass it is and, because of the richness, how much of it goes bad. Make a pie instead. It takes 25% the time and then you can eat leftover breakfast pie.
