In LA, community organizing has played a major role in slowing ICE down. Here are the strategies I saw while I was there.

I think they all are problematic... Just need to decide which to use and then keep up the pressure to change. I'm hopeful that T-Mobile may actually be responsive and I've heard from multiple sources that employees are unhappy with this business deal.

So infuriating! The risks are real and for citizens who are speaking up, it feels like it's a question of when, not if, we will be targeted.

This administration is so cruel. I've heard this person has a closed embezzlement case from 20 years ago. So if you have a green card, you can never have legal trouble (even far in the past!) and can't speak out about injustice that the rest of the world understands to be criminal?

Like Rumeysa Ozturk's 1.5 months in a private for-profit prison run by GEO group ... And Mahmoud Khalil's now 2+ months jailed.

It's hard to put into words how it feels to be somewhere where reality isn't so distorted. In the USA talking about Israeli-state violence and the humanitarian crisis can get you imprisoned if you're not a citizen.

Last night's RTVE show (Spanish public TV, kinda like a huge PBS) was all about children dying in Gaza. The host said they're being murdered. Then the 11pm news talked about the EU revisiting it's relationship with Israel. I know this should but be shocking, to hear truth on media, but it is.

10 years ago I moved back to Seattle and joined up with some incredible people (many whom I'm still collaborating with) to protest Shell's arctic drilling. I was not brave enough to get in a kayak and try to block this monstrosity. Later that year Shell pulled out of the artic due to "risk."

I am outraged by the unjust arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka earlier this afternoon outside of Delaney Hall in Newark.

I am calling for his immediate release by federal law enforcement.
