Probably every single woman in science in the United States under the age of 50 has been positively impacted by the NSF ADVANCE program in some way. As I hear stories of ADVANCE cancellations, it's hard to really fully grasp the tremendous damage the end of that one program is doing. 🧪

Our NSF ADVANCE grant has been terminated as of this morning. Maybe not a shock at this point, but still kind of a punch in the gut to end the semester.

Hours later, I received a call from a group of students who found my pizza in the entryway of a nearby academic building. They reported a piece had been taken. I told them they could have the rest.

My attempt to get pizza for lab meeting have been foiled by the DoorDash profanity filter. (I hope the dasher enjoys the pizza)
