Have retrieved my dress from the dry cleaners and have all accessories with me to bring home and pack. Have acquired pretty much everything I need for this trip, just need to make sure it all gets packed tomorrow.

Had so much fun at the BBQ! Was relaxing and all the younger generation of cousins, the little kids, had a great time playing in the splash pad. Now we have to drive home and quick sleep to get back up again for work tomorrow 😂

All the bars are cut into squares, packed in the cooler. We are picking up the last of the supplies and then off to drive down to the bbq! Beautiful summer day ☀️😎

Bars and scotcheroos are cooling, dishes done, last load of laundry in to wash. Gotta hang out until laundry is done and things have cooled off enough to cover. Then can just cut into squares and add the lemon icing to the bars tomorrow AM before we leave.

Sometimes I also have to leave it be. This is at least slightly less politicized and more business, copyright related so I can avoid that minefield when talking with her. Walking away will always be a valid option!

That’s a good point, I’ve frozen cookie dough balls before and it works great. May have to try and make time for that this week, it makes it a much shorter project.

Trying to not let negativity take over my account. Sigh. It was still a good day, almost finished running errands and then gotta quick do some baking. Luckily it’s stuff I’ve made a million times! Then fun family bbq tomorrow, should be pretty low-key.

I think I was able to more clearly articulate my stance when I was in front of her. She was able to understand what I was saying, I think it’s just hard for people to understand the real impact if you or someone you know isn’t personally affected.

That’s a good point! The timing lines up perfectly for that here as well, I bet that’s a big part of it. I enjoy the vibe so much. We’re not a huge city so it’s just generally pretty relaxed. As someone who can get kinda overstimulated, I appreciate that.

Yes! For a long time I would have this ongoing school -based set of dreams. It was weird to remember after I woke up that the school halls looked the same every time (and nothing like my actual schools looked like).

Ours is in August too, I think it’s a scheduling thing with the big park area. But it’s a nice way to close out the summer!
