and it’s so good because there are actual consequences to what these characters are doing but then we also get silly bits like the cook spying on someone behind fresh baked loaves of bread because SOMEONE IS LEAKING DETAILS ABOUT THE RUSSELLS TO THE GOSSIP RAGS

I’ve made a lot of tik toks about this but the Gilded Age used to be so chill so low stakes and the fact that each episode of season 3 has upped the ante bit by bit is kind of insane. We’ve gone from soup at luncheon to life or death stakes and I’m SO HERE FOR IT.
