Yes, and no! Apatemyids are a more rare fossil found in North America, and they have skeletal characteristics allowing them to fill a similar niche to modern day aye-ayes! The NPS suggests they are close to the primate family and prefers them depicted as such.

The largest species of mammoth, the Columbian mammoth was one of the last large elephants to inhabit the grassland environments of North America during the Pleistocene epoch.

During the same period of time, the gompothere Cuvieronius inhabitted similar environments of South America.

Pteranodon Longiceps is the most regonized member of the Pteranodon genus. Composed of nearly 1,200 individual specimens, it is well represented among North American fossil taxa, likely playing an important ecological nighe along the Western Interior Seaway.

Pteranodon sternbergi, otherwise known as Geosternbergia, is one of two large species of the Pteranodon genus.

Discovered in central regions of the United States, this pterosaur roamed prehistoric skies during the late Campanian age of the Cretaceous.
