Got a 2% merit raise for 2023 performance. This is lower than my last raise but my company didn't meet our financial goals for the year.

HOWEVER, they are also applying a "market adjustment": an ADDITIONAL 14%

Wow. Never had an employer give annual merit raises, let alone CoL increases. 😲

Hah yeah, in your case that's probably very true! I know I've got a couple of normie and/or straight friends who I consider allies but I would hate to be the reason one of them has issues with their job or SO for scrolling past something gay & horny that they weren't prepared for, y'know?

I know the feeling of needing an upgrade. I was using a GTX 970 and upgraded to an AMD 7900 XT which is similar in capability to the 4070 Ti. Kind of a ridiculous performance improvement.
