Spidey and his amazing friends theme is unironically one of my favourite songs. My daughter used to watch it mainly because she knew I loved the song.

My son, now 9, was into Potter - first 2 books and movies - last year, but got freaked out by movie 3 and has gone off it, but think he'll age back into it.

As an aside, a lot of the wizarding/Potter shops look like money laundering fronts to me. Does that mean it's a strong brand or a dying one?

I think that, as a function of the Tories decline, in a lot of people's minds he's already the de facto leader of the opposition. If there was a jump to take, I think it was him becoming an MP, rather than Loto. Once he gets those shots in the House of Commons, I think he looks parliamentary.

I don't think this holds as much as it used too. The same was always said of Johnson, and I think they showed how to navigate that. Reform would surely similar.

Lando Norris reminds me of Anthony Joshua and, having read @tommctague.bsky.social's profile, weirdly Keir Starmer. People who have been hothoused to get where they've got, and learn an awful lot by rote, but aren't able to articulate why they want to do what they do from first principles.

The thing is, there's probably value in it. I feel I am a very high information voter living online, but also low information on terms of what news non-political obsessives consume. I do my best to listen to Radio 2, but probably should watch the 10 more.
