As ever, the best answer to those Anglo pundits complaining that Macron doesn’t accede at all times to the NFP is MΓ©lenchon’s words.

I'll say I'm not sure any of the big houses have someone who can *really* cut in place any more. So, so much reliant on drape-and-embellish, or completely astonishing craft techniques. Jonathan Anderson can cut but basically mostly doesn't? And Balenciaga with PPP aren't showing couture yet.

Surprisingly, with the very lovely if not quite *there yet* haute couture debuts at Dior and Chanel, I've decided Valentino was my favourite of the week. A first and welcome move, clear homage to the Pier Paolo Piccioli in the colour stories of some of the frocks.

(Peep show format also fun)

Rotonde a La Muette in the 16th or the OG in Montmartre? Adore the former, many an excellent lunch. Either way strong

Can... Can we not? Feels real shitty to see this shit taking off.

At some point we're going to have to put our fucking foot down about this "what are we, a bunch of J- I MEAN ISRAELIS?" shit when Americans see American evils enacted Americanly.

I bloody love Rhys Thomas’ output, in particular this all-time classic:

Celibacy taught me I’m too clever to find love Before my sex hiatus, I prioritised physical chemistry over emotional intellect. Now, it feels impossible to meet someone with both

This is marvellous. He's even worse than the headline might make you think (gift link)
