Jack doesn't meet important people aside from his family until he meets Clay. He was kept inside most of his childhood before being sent away with an abusive man.

Most of the important people in Clay's life he met through his father. As a kid Clay wasn't really interested but they became family the older he got. Toby would have been the one he was draw to as a kid because he's a literal gentle giant. He's the guy kids feel safe.

It's Chicago, so it's the worse. The only plus is the roads are normally well plowed, but the sidewalks can be really hit or miss.

It's the little things that make Clay happy. A good night to him is sharing a drink with Jack at a cozy inn with good music. Jack also loves nights like that but he always enjoys being busy. Pampering his horses is something he loves doing.

I give them a name if it's easier. If It's just a couple lines, I can stick with "the guy." If it gets much more or if there are to many people, I'll do some quick names so I don't need to do to much of "guy 1," "guy 2," and so on.

I've been wanting to get more into mysteries. I recently read "Fortune Favors the Dead," and I wanna read more in the series. I also wanna go back to some classics like the "Miss. Marple," series.

I associate Clay with red and Jack with blue although both have the majority sandy color. Clay is also a darker palette were as Jack is lighter. It's mostly thematic on my part then character choice, but the sandy color poncho is Clay's choice to help him sneak in the sand.

Audiobook. It's been a real life saver with my dyslexia. Sometimes I'll also get a hard copy and follow along with the audiobook just to help practice a little more.

The cross part doesn't but the silver does. Lycanthropes are all weak to silver, but more when it gets into the blood, so it doesn't hurt his skin. When it's touching him, it more pushes back the curse.

Clay wears a large silver cross for multiple reasons. It was his fathers so there's sentimentality there, but it also helps him with his curse. Whether its the fact it's a silver cross or that he associates it with his father, holding it helps him calm down so the curse doesn't take over.
