Hey, I remembered that this platform exists! Hereโs what I read in September. The Lower Decks comics were so much fun. I enjoyed one of the timelines in The Bewitching but the other was meh for me. Room 904 had some great scary parts but the plot felt too busy to me. ๐

Finished some knits recently. Why did I go this long without a purple sparkly cloak? Also knit a hat for my five year old self. ๐งถ

I liked it well enough. I enjoyed the creepy roses and vultures, but the pacing felt off. What did you think of it?

August reads. On a bit of a vampire kick with both books and movies. Watching the Blade trilogy was a nice way to rest during a summer head cold. ๐

June reads. I enjoyed them all in different ways. Would recommend Gilded Needles if you want to read about a matriarchal crime family getting brutal revenge on a sanctimonious patriarchal family. And yes, Red House Mystery was written by the guy who wrote Winnie the Pooh. ๐

Some recent finished knits. Kept running out of yarn for the sweater but kept finding close matches in my stash. I guess I have a favorite shade of red. Plus hats made from scraps. ๐งถ

I really enjoyed The Dead Take the A Train so I probably should have rated it higher. Try @thestorygraph.com (as an alternative to Amazonโs Goodreads) to get yours.

After a fairly sedentary winter, the last three weekends have been full of dance workshops. I danced with an assaya (stick), a veil, and sagat (finger cymbals). I did debke, shaabi, and a drum solo. It was a lot, but I did it!

I got to attend dance workshops with the multi talented Karim Nagi! I learned new things and got to dance and sing (in Arabic!) with my friends and other creative, caring people. Iโm extra motivated to do what I can to create more joyous times like this. Thank you @hennadances.bsky.social !
