Samir Zitouni was the LNER hero who confronted the knife attacker. Whatever his ethnicity, a true Brit for me - selfless, brave and courageous.
Here's hoping for his full recovery.

What really annoys me with Starmer/Reeves in this debate is, they keep blaming the Tories/Farage for Brexit (correct) but pretend there's no way back for the UK.
Political expediency writ large.
Today's the day!
04.11.2025 10:57 β π 4 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0π Today marks 75 years since the creation of the ECHR.
We should celebrate the vision that Winston Churchill showed in recognising everyoneβs human rights.
But there are now calls for the UK to leave ECHR.
As with Brexit, leaving would strip all of us of fundamental rights.
The Bear explains
"(This)...must become a universal warning that shows where hatred, antisemitism, and contempt for a fellow human being can lead people."

Farage and Brexit are the same thing. They were both created by Putin to divide us and make us weaker. You can't fight Farage without fighting Brexit. And you can't fight Brexit without fighting Farage. If you support one, you support the other by default!

Most of Europe is now in the #EU or wants to be. Churchillβs dream of a continent united in peace, democracy and shared prosperity has almost come true - except for Russia, Belarus, and Britain.
