For real though, I agree. This is a serious problem and I loved hearing you talk about it here.
"The thing I think could ultimately be the most consequential upside or harm is what happens when machines can do so much more - including lots of white collar work, so that all that really matters is who owns the machines."
Like the machines that could do the work, be the means of production? 1/2
@koffeekult.bsky.social hey KK, the sun's out again in the PNW and I'm wondering if you're planning on releasing your cold brew blend again this year! I enjoyed it quite a bit last year, and I'm shopping!
18.04.2025 21:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@chrisreykdal.bsky.social Thank you for standing by your promises to protect our schools. I'm reminded of 2016 when the other candidate wasn't sure whether trans and queer kids were appropriate to talk about, and I worry where we'd be today if it'd gone the other way. Thank you.

01.04.2025 06:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It was so perfectly cheesey! Shameless in its execution of a throwback show in the spirit of an 80s coming of age film, powered by community and power ballads.
I loved it so much, and I'm so glad Zabka got a chance to shine, and gosh did he sparkle!!
Sent messages to my reps and shared with my community!

I wish I could give the them credit, but it seems they'd rather not support the validity of our experiences, and instead defend our right in a liberal society to be weird without government intervention.
09.02.2025 19:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Some of the most deplorable episodes in U.S. history involve the government wielding the power of the state against minority groups: Black people, Indigenous people and gay people, to name just a few. Though these campaigns might have received popular support at the time, history has consistently judged them as immoral, illegal and un-American.
Even the opening paragraph suggests that *now it's our turn*, as though trans people weren't targeted in every single one of these listed past opppressive actions. As though the distinction to all past harms is that it's the government intervention that has finally materially harmed our community,
09.02.2025 19:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'd love to give @nytimes.com a *little* credit for coming around, but somehow they manage to avoid validating trans identities (or even recognizing the many years they've spent arguing against them), while also ignoring the broader history of our oppression.

"In FY26, there will be significant demand in the market for educational solutions. We believe the value to be in excess of $238 billion based on recent US Gov estimates. With a capture of 20% of market share, we estimate a new edu program will generate +$48 billion YoY."
Hi Bob @governorferguson.bsky.social,
Credit where credit is due. Thank you to Nick (not on bsky yet!) and you for putting this suit together. Let's keep pushing back!
Hi Bob, @governorferguson.bsky.social
Why isn't WA on this list?
Hi Bob @governorferguson.bsky.social,
Alright here it is. Where you at? Are you just physically incapable of saying the word "trans"? AGs and Governors all over this nation in states that voted far less blue than we did are standing up, and you're silent. Still.

hey Bob @governorferguson.bsky.social
Just a heads up that some people are actually doing their job to protect their citizens: www.nytimes.com/2025/02/03/n...
Maybe you and Nick can get the lead out and remember we're a voting bloc too.
Seriously. Imagine talking about the muslim travel ban he "defeated" and not talking about the trans travel ban happening *right now* in this state.
02.02.2025 21:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And as Ferguson will have it, the trans community will disappear without even a whisper.
02.02.2025 21:35 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Literally *one* press release between the gov or AG, but they can't even find the time for that? Even empty promises?
30.01.2025 02:42 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey Bob @governorferguson.bsky.social, when are you and AG Brown going to release a *single* statement of support for the trans community in Washington?
At this point it's starting to seem like you're not thinking about us at all. Doesn't have to be big, just literally mention it once.
I always assumed a turbo shot was like higher pressure or something, not a faster shot. That makes way more sense. I wish more roasters would offer suggestion preparations on the bags. It's rare enough as it is, but if a bean or blend is great, I'd love to see suggested recipes on the bag!
28.01.2025 21:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(2/2) I took the suggestion from a local barista, and if you follow her recipe the coffee is delicious and fruity, but never expected coarser than usual espresso for light roast! I'm curious if you're seeing that commonly?
(Brevilla Barista Espress + Niche Zero)
@jameshoffmann.bsky.social (1/2) playing with some seasonals at Caffe Vita in Seattle (like Strawberry Fields, this season). I'm curious if you're seeing a trend with light roasts like this. They take such **short** shot timings, like 17-18 seconds, which requires such a coarser grind
