I’m surprised it’s only .9%. Word was out on tariffs and some people front loaded purchases in November and December. We upgraded our phones, replaced our 2019 tablets, bought materials for a project we’re going to do this summer, replaced an old car, etc., so that we could slow spending this year.

As a parent who works to help communities thrive, I think a lot about school and jobs. School years are 180 days, and most full-time jobs are 250 days. Brutal for single parents, and for two-income earner families...so, most households. There are solutions, but they are not yet normalized
