#BBB but if every YES vote exempted that state from the Medicaid impacts, what would the bill have accomplished?

#BBB hear me out- the BBB is terrible. Voting for new $ for ICE and other financial provisions is harmful and detrimental- but there was no way to obstruct it’s passage

Real talk- what if every Senator had made the price of their YES vote for the BBB the exclusion of their state from its provisions?

The New York Times’ editorial decisions make more sense when you remember their publisher is a fifth-generation owner who was handed the paper as a birthright while the managing editor was a Harvard legacy whose father founded Staples.

They’re very firm believers in the meritocracy, you see.

Alligator Alcatraz is in easy commuting distance of Florida's major agricultural areas. Surely this won't come up later

The budget for ICE is larger than the budget for the United States Marine Corps.

This is Trump’s secret police getting over $100 billion. It’s over for us as a society if this happens.

Feel like "Don't you want to fight these bastards for real?" would be a good campaign slogan for a primarily challenger to a Democratic incumbent.

Ok, so Republicans just introduced a 900 page bill none of them have read. But my team is going through it line by line and on this 🧡you can see the hidden provisions we found. Will update all day.

1/ NEW Medicaid cuts, so now 17 million - instead of 16M - lose health care.

That’s actually 100% correct. The real desired width should accommodate couples in intense conversation, a motorized scooter or wheelchair AND incoming pedestrians, a middle school herd. Watch Corcoran kids walk home and you’ll see the real width we should be designing sidewalks to meet.

2/2 so my brainstorm request to you- what are some ways that these industries or their consumers could pay into city services? Looking for progressive, not regressive, ideas.

Brainstorming request- here in the #315, we have large volume of commuter traffic that uses city services and we have large nonprofit industry sectors (Education & Medical) that are exempt from property taxes.

I have been sick for a week and I just read about "something going around" in a subreddit, which I guess is how I get my information now that the CDC is officially spending the next four years determining when and how microscopes became gay.

It is a little weird to me countries aren’t more aggressively, formally trying to take advantage of the U.S. science brain drain. Once in a lifetime opportunity to buy low on Non-Dumbass Americans with PhDs who just wanna look into microscopes and quietly cure ass cancer as our country eats shit.
