OooH! Right! That might be a midge in the photo, and not a mosquito at all! I went in assuming the post stating it as a mosquito was right, and that was where I looked. It's still interesting that it is a possibilty for at least some species of mosquitoes.

But this seems like a very very rare occurence, and something limited to specific species.

I was curious, and did a bit of research online, and found at least one source saying that it's not an isolated observation!

Also to note, my AP purchases have been made under the legacy 30% off, it would be ~50$ higher if it was just the 15% from Legendary, and thus a bit more gold. xD We don't know what will happen to the old legacy advantage, but looking at the numbers, the impact is lower than I expected if lost.

That would be 1537.78 gold (assuming they count decimals...) +25 birthday bonus. More than enough for all society scenarios, and between 30 and 35$ off of other purchases (or 10% off of a very big purchase, which has the potential to be more), OR 100$ off total from anything, or 3x 10% off)

Ok, I went back and made better calculations. For the full 12 months, I spent 1025.19. I made a mistake before, I have 5 subs. Oops. 27% was from accessories, 25% was from AP, 9% was from Adventures, 18% was from Lost Omen, 11% was from rulebook, and 9% was from non-sub purchases.

Yeah, if you hit the 750$ goal, that's 1175 gold minimum (counting the birthday bonus), and 20 scenario is 1000 gold cost (it's technically 10$ off, so could maybe combine to get more out of that, if you can wait and not redeem them each month). And I hit 750$ in 9 month with 4 subs. So yeah. :P

They were supposed to be in Rage of Elements pre-remaster, but the removal of the druid's Anathema to metal reduced the priority, and yes, it ended up being cut for page space.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

It's not the first time I see Nintendo "leaving space" for 3rd party to sell games on launch. It's the first time it actually work.

It is. The old controllers use a different protocol than the new controllers that use a more efficient one. And to save power, the sleeping console only listen to the new one. It's a technical limitation. It would cost more power to listen to both, and thus more battery drain even when sleeping.

It was there even before that. I remember having arguments with my mother's boyfriend over Wind Waker's graphics, he was claiming "Nintondo will crash and burn, nobody want a Zelda with these kiddy graphics" and I was like: "in 20 years it will still look good vs realistic games right now."

As much as I love VR, it simply doesn't sell that much. As a game dev, most people that I know that worked on VR games say: "VR games creates hype, and they put you on the map, but the sales are tiny, most projects lose money, and it's a pain to dev for."

TBF, a lot of games simply don't need it. I have played a bunch of Switch 1 games that was in my backlog, and even without an update they run much better than they do on my old Switch. xD
And Nintendo just announced yesterday an update for Splatoon 3, so I guess they are still working going back.

Canadian here too, but mine if from Vietnam. I got mine directly from Nintendo from the direct preorders. Oh, and it was a Mario Kart bundle, if it changes anything. (And I got one with a code, not the one that auto download it when you open it for the first time)

I have been playing a lot of my hundreds of games I had on my Switch 1 backlog, and they feel much better. xD
