29.10.2025 12:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Origins completely guts the flavor text and exploration that made the first game fun. It's removed details of the setting that made the fantasy world unique and memorable.
The decrease in overt misogyny + the added magic mechanic are good updates, but it doesn't beat the net negatives.
Just found out that they're following up Simon the Sorcerer Origins by remaking the original Simon the Sorcerer. I have OPINIONS.
First of all, I'm on Ch 5? 6? of Origins. And I'm going to have to make a video at some point to properly compare, but...

The scene is Monticello, IL, in December. You know the view is like this on sides. Bright light, bare earth, sparse as bones. Air that is crisp and clear.
I'm not keeping up with the postmortem videos yet, but I always wasn't expecting to submitting to shows and streaming this year, so there's that.
