Well, I’m going to take a break from drawing my comic and build a modular computer, install Linux on it, and attempt to replace Adobe with Open Source software while listening to an audiobook about a Scottish wizard fighting a Druid in Australia… It’s going to be fun

I hate grading. I refuse to use ai to grade because these students are paying for feedback and expertise, not slop/filler/word-count/content… okay, back to grading

The main problem with the Luddites was that they didn’t understand that their lives were required by the government and industrialists for the sake of efficiency, “Had they been better instructed, they would have known that it was their duty to lie down in the nearest ditch and die.”

I purchased the Spider-Man 2 PC port and it looks incredible. Unfortunately it is buggy as all get out and freezes within a minute of launching it. Had to get a refund. Spider-Man 1 was a little buggy for a bit and they patched it… so maybe they’ll fix 2, but right now it’s awful

There was a time when nerd culture wasn’t ubiquitous and we’d all get excited when a tv show or a musician was seen wearing one of our threadless shirts or homestarunner was referenced or something. I just got this text from my kid and it made my day.

One of the challenges of indie comics is that I just wrote something that is so freaking good… but it’s going to take me a while to draw all the pages leading up to it, so no one gets to see it for a while.

I built another model for reference. These are the bones of the MGL (Mechanical Goo Location) dung finding machines in my comic Rage of Enlightenment.

I know this isn’t a big deal to some, but I figured out how to install a program on my Linux system. Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered,
a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!

Welp… it’s midnight and I need to wake up in 4.5 hours to drive for 2.5 hours… but then I’ll be at a lake with my family… so I’m not complaining, I just wish I was tired now because I definitely will be tomorrow

Photo reference is great, but nothing beats a bee crawling around on your hand or building your own 3D model to reference.
