Engines Of Destruction on Steam Currently in development; EOD is the next generation of mech simulators. Every button clickable, every system simulated, feel the weight and power of your mech in PvP and Co-op scenarios.

Every now and then I see a video from the people making this, and I think it looks very cool.

The thing in question was a "light function" on the directional light. (The main light that illuminates the scene)

I have no idea what it is doing under the covers, but it's exciting, it's reminded me of a video where a guy showed how having invisible shadow casters can add depth to a scene

I was just grabbing some bits from an asset pack (rocks, road textures and such).

While I was doing this, I wondered ... what are those cloud shadows? I discovered a whole wonderland of trickery.

Spent all day rewriting my flight controls to use physics based rotation, rather than arcade style fixed rotation.

It's getting there, and my brain is fried - but now it can do surface tracking as a fun side effect - genuinely sooo exciteds!!! yayyyy!

Character with collision messages

Interesting thing... just switched my board collision from a capsule (sausage) to two balls, and it is much smoother when sliding along the landscape.

I totally hadn't expected it to get rid of weird hitching that I was getting, but it has!
