Blue pencil sketch by John Eaves used as a prop in the episode 'Far Beyond The Stars'. One of my favourite bits of Trek art, probably! This is a scan I just made from the Eaves art book (Joe Nazzaro) just today.

Truthfully, I only picked up 'Far Beyond The Stars' so I could get a nice scan of the cover. I was looking for high resolution art of these yesterday and came up empty.

I always thought it was a John Eaves design, but James Van Over made the 3D art first and Eaves recreated it for the prop!

Oh and another thing that should be pointed out: they didn’t just “forget” to crop off the safety margins, they used pre-vfx masters and didn’t comp out the vomit guy and tube. So it’s 3 steps they skipped at a minimum
