LOL! Glad I’m not the only one. Sometimes I get so stuck on figuring out how something works, or the history behind something before I paint it, and I have to stop myself and ask “is this necessary?” or can you just paint the darn thing?

Meteorologists, do you mind if I refer to you as “cloud people”?!

It’s midnight and I just skimmed this, mainly because my brain is like, “Ha! Nice try. There’s no way I am making sense of that,right now!”

There are cloud people who could tell me the type of cloud and what colours would be where, depending on the way the light is hitting them,right?
There’s gotta be a breakdown. Someone has come up with an accurate diagram to follow,I’ll bet.

Was walking home at sunset and the clouds were beautiful. Going from blue and purple to pink and coral near the top, and I wondered about the science of it.
I was working out how I’d paint it.
Then I figured,there are people out there who probably have it down to a science.

What is an interest of yours that you’d be able to pick out a random prop/detail in a movie that the average person wouldn’t?

We were just watching “Coraline” for our “Hallowe’en Film“ of the day and my 18yo exclaims,”can you pause it?! I think that guy is wearing a Chernobyl liquidator medal!“
Just a random factoid burned into my kid’s brain for some reason?
“Uhh,how did you know that?”
“I read a lot about Chernobyl“.

I’ve seen the odd minister in “plainclothes” with the ole “tab” collar, but this was a new one for me.

Fascinating. I, being a heathen, immediately went, “it’s October.Maybe an early Halloween party? Saturday night Cosplay?“ and then recognized that he may be a “man of the cloth”.

Is there a type of minister or priest nowadays that wears something that resembles a “Friar Tuck” ensemble? I just walked over to the bakery to grab a baguette before they closed and passed a man in a “robe” with a wooden cross, sandals and a white beard.

Oof. Dan Aykroyd‘s eulogy at the beginning was a really smart choice. (Just re-watched it with my 18yo)

If you get a chance to watch “John Candy: I Like Me”, you should take it and watch it and hold it in your heart.
