Pokemon makes WAY more sense when you start watching the shows the creators grew up with.

I bought the entire collection of New Majuu Sensen for this purpose and I still haven't touched it - too afraid of staining the pages with my greasy mitts.

Ximena, an anthropomorphic red-plated were-mantis rendered in a Pathfinder module style. Her hands are raised in a prayer gesture, with the mantis blades pointed down.

The user's fanmade Digimon Hanatakatenmon. It resembles a large humanoid bird man with two swords and a Japanese aesthetic. Most of its body is covered in a warm white samurai's shirt with puffy sleeves along with hakama of the same colour with white bottom edges, divided by a feather shaped edge. Around its waist and elbows are orange cloth, extending out like wings on the elbows with an extra section of white and ending in three feather shapes at the two hanging edges of the belt. On its feet it wears blocky brown wooden sandals, held in place with a red leather strap and silver buckles. A brown and white scabbard is held on either side of the body with similar belts, and it wears black fingerless leather gloves. An orange cloth is worn on the shoulders with regular triangular cuts, evoking feathers, and a brown prayer bead necklace is worn around the neck. The centre bead is larger and emblazoned with the crest of love. His hair is seven large white feathers behind seven shorter brown ones, and just beside the face on either side hangs a bunch of hair held by a bead. On its face it has a red tengu-esque mask with a long pointed nose, a jagged 'mouth' and two blue eyes looking out from the eyeholes. Its swords are mostly traditional katana, but much wider and with a hook at the end. Five red swirls go along the blade, the tsuba is red with white trim and a feather pointing in from each corner, and at the end of the hilt an orange rope attaches a small red bead with two white feathers.

I thought this was fake for the longest time, but the machine from Creamy Mami is real. It's called a Magic Stick, & pulls your roller skates down the road.

The user's fan digimon design, Lichmon. He's an emaciated, black-skinned corpse with spiked silver armour (rusted at the edges), a white cloak with dark blue inside and a poofy collar of white fur. His chest is a ribcage made of metal bars, with a chain attached to each middle rib. One attaches to a massive silver sword with digicode inscribed on it reading 'digital' and black ice covering the tip, spiked at the edges away from the tip and with floating fragments. His helmet has a five-pointed grille with no lower half covering an ominous green glow. In the forehead is a diamond of black ice and above that are three large horns, like a crown. One hand is blackened and wrapped in bandages while the other is covered in black ice, manacled with a chain. His shoulders have two layers of armour with a black ice diamond inset in each, rimmed with spikes at the top. The buckle of his belt is a black ice skull with an X for an eye socket.

The ruler of the Digital World's tundra. It escapes death by using opponents as a vessel for rebirth. Its living sword 'Lifebane' can be wielded in tandem with an icy blade for overwhelming attacks (Tyrant's Fury).

Falling in love with the art style of this manga. It somehow looks messy & clean at the same time. Like someone drew it in ballpoint pen in a school textbook.

The user's OC digimon, Shutenmon, based on Shuten Doji. It resembles a large red ogreish humanoid with japanese styling. His face is covered by a silver mask with two large 'fangs' under the eyes, a purple pattern around the eyes and along those fangs which resembles two star shapes and five short spikes on the forehead. He has two large tusks curving out from his bottom jaw, capped with silver, and a grey beard and sideburns (tied at the chin and flaring out at the sides), along with a ponytail that transitions to a flame. A thick rope is worn around his torso, with each segment bearing a demonic yellow eye, and his shoulders bear two silver spikes each. His baggy pants are half white, half yellow, and he has a black belt with yellow swirls along it and a large one for a buckle. Red spikes poke out at the knees. He wears metal sandals with four black belts as straps, and three spikes at the front of each. On one arm is studded blue metal armour, with a knuckleduster bearing three spikes and wind roaring around it. On the other is a yellow skin bracer with black tiger stripes and white fur at each end, and in that hand is a massive gourd with purple spiral patterns, a silver cork and two short curved horns along with'teeth' around the middle, somewhat protecting his hand. He has two metal flagpoles embedded in his back, each topped with a skull (one more humanoid and one more monstrous) and bearing a blue-or-yellow-and-white flag, opposite to the matching colour hand. He's breathing fire from his mouth.

Living deep in the mountains of the Dark Area, it is gluttonous and alcoholic to the extreme. It orders its army to gather mountains of food for fear of punishment by its Sinister Sake fire breath.

I think about this almost daily.

Klefki with four quadrepedal nubs like legs and a brass body. Vines are wrapped around the keyring, holding berries and leaves, and the ring is arranged to resemble antlers.

It collects the best-tasting berries and stores them on its brass antlers. It normally has a sweet temperament, but they've been seen chasing down URSARING who trampled their favorite berry bush.
