Yup. And those assumptions are going to be weighted with more or fewer stories going into either a good or bad direction.

To me your read means assuming that 1) there are positions available that they would be a match for, 2) applying for them meant preferential treatment vs outsider applicants and 3) the positions are in the same area, with equivalent pay, and otherwise comparable.

That’s a lot of assumptions. 🤷‍♂️
