Also the number of people using voice control for phones in the car _feels_ way lower than I would have expect it to be. But that I blame on Siri sucking hard as a voice assistant… 🙃

Anecdotally, I see about maybe 1 in 10 in Vienna when walking about, and it’s usually just people messing about with phones at traffic light stops. Outside the city, I’ve seen more people do it while driving. I assume less traffic makes people feel like fewer cars = fewer chances of a crash?

I think cruelty is, outside of antisocial personality disorders, more a case of environment pressure and opportunity. Penalizing a couple of very obvious cases would be enough, provided society also invests into resolving the situations that made people lean into cruelty in the first place.

The part that no one likes to talk about is how to get rid of cruel people. Because no one wants to look cruel themselves.

Until society makes it clear that such behavior is unacceptable and trains sociopaths to act nice, nothing will change.
