His eyes flutter shut, expectant, almost begging in a way, for even just a peck on the lips.

One more little spritz of water, and Sanji finally makes himself known. He has a big smile on his face, and… incredibly sharp teeth? And longer hair, and.. are those fins where his ears should be?

As he turns around- another splash! And.. a bit of laughing?

He doesn’t surface for another few minutes. The water is calm, waves barely rocking the boat.

Suddenly, from behind, a little splash of water hits Law on the back. If he were to turn though- nothing would be there..

Minutes pass, and still no sign of the blonde. What the hell is he doing down there!?

He’s right- nothing has yet to happen.

Other than this feeling in Sanji’s gut, telling him to go deeper, further down into the water. It pulls him like a magnet, and he can’t help but follow.

The deeper he goes, the harder it is to see him, until he’s completely out of view.

“You sound like a dork!”

Even though he’s mocking him, he’s clearly the one who’s acting like a dork.

Glancing down into the water, he peels off his outer layers, leaving on just the board shorts he’d thankfully had on. With one last look towards Law, he jumps in.

Nervous, and yet… excited. What if it did work?

Taking Laws hand, he tries not to act too excited as he pulls the man towards the water.

“So… what, do I just jump in?”

Suddenly looking down at the coin with a lot more interest.

“Really.. that’s.. amazing, if true! But it’s- it’s probably not, right? Nothing that good could possibly ACTUALLY exist..”

“But that’s the story? That it will turn a person into a mermaid? What else does the story say?”

“You really think so? Is that part of the magic?”

His eyes turn bright- like a child that was just told their favorite fairy tale.

“Really? That’s pretty cool! Do you want it?”

“Stole it from big mom I think? Or at least one of her kids. Big room full of coins. This one has a mermaid on the back though. Thought it was pretty, so I took it.”

Y’know.. I used to have really ticklish feet. Someone would so much as graze their fingers on the bottoms of them, and I’d be a laughing mess.

… not many people got to see that side of me. It’s.. almost sad that no one ever will.

His heart jumps for joy, threatening to leap straight up and out of his throat-

Instead, he takes a bite of the food offered to him, making a show of really enjoying it- because he does- and swallowing it down along with his heart.

Love settles in his stomach, and he also giggles like he’s drunk.

He nuzzles into the mans fluffy coat.

“Would it be too much to ask for you to feed me? I want to enjoy this meal to the fullest..”

As the plate is set in front of him, Sanji looks like he’s just about to cry. His smile wobbles, and tears fill his eyes- he even sniffles a little. With one arm, he pulls Law in and guides him to the seat next to him, fawning over him. His arms wrap around his waist.

“… I love you so much-

“OH MY GOD”

You have a dog? Can I see?

“Hmm… vegetables sounds good, if that’s alright love. Like I said, I’ll eat anything.”

It should be noted that Sanji would not let just anyone cook for him, or even take care of him in such a way. He seems anxious as Law works, but he does not try to stop him.

The point should be that a person, not naming names, should eat more than just rice and filling if he were to drink. Especially heavily, like I know he’s going to.
