The federal troops patrolling areas of DC where little to no actual crime happens (the Mall, Georgetown) is deliberate. This tactic is designed to signal to BIPOC individuals to stay away from those spaces.

The DC sandwich guy has been charged with assault for shouting at a CBP officer, throwing a sub into his chest, and then running off.

Besides the Epstein diversion, the deployment of troops to DC is to create two chilling possibilities. One, to invoke the insurrection act and put down any demonstrations as the country goes south. Two, to suspend elections and declare martial law if the country turns against him.

DC residences try to help each other. It is an assault on a massive scale. They warn one another, but as the night went on the vehicles were everywhere.

There are attempts at pushback but the numbers would have to be larger than the massive amount of feds. DC doesn’t have the numbers LA has. They are scared.

People in DC feel suffocated. The police presence is everywhere. No one feels safe.
