Good news! This chapbook will be out with Red Ceilings (UK) in February. The amazing cover is by @andythatcher.bsky.social, and the work is dedicated to my former student, dear friend Isabelle Thompson, herself a great emerging poet. I'll do a local launch at @craftbath.bsky.social 20 Feb--join us!

Fascinating research by
Rick Schulting et. al, that adds traction to the possibility that the Later Neo/Chalco/BA in these islands may not have been as halcyon-like an existence as once believed.

All The Haunts Be Ours Vol.2 gave me something to look forward to back in the UK. The Enchanted is more short story than feature film and like all great weird stories remains deliberately obtuse to the end. The killer synth soundtrack is a bonus. severinfilms.com/en-gb/produc...

Anti-fascist Christmas cards at the Graphics Museum, Stavanger. Red bobble hats were a symbol of resistance during Nazi occupation of Norway, and were banned; these cards, while also illegal, were insanely popular.

Hello new/ old acquaintances and friends - Iโm on the home stretch of a PhD which started off with making slow cinema documentaries and has ended with writing a folk horror screenplay. Itโs all still about common land though. Honest!

An inspired and inspiring screening of The Red Shoes at Exeter Cathedral courtesy of Exeter Phoenix. Itโs a film thatโs been in the DNA of rule breaking cinema since 1948 and I canโt wait to see it again.
