24.02.2026 22:56 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0This is a really great solution, I love how a little craftiness can save a lot of money
23.02.2026 23:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I will tread cautiously haha
23.02.2026 22:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hmm, never heard of that book series before. Adding it to my list!
23.02.2026 20:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fantastic progress on the hat! It's really coming together!
That espresso machine is so damn cool, I don't even drink coffee and I want it
Thanks! I absolutely love it
23.02.2026 17:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh that sounds awesome! I am highly interested in your project
23.02.2026 15:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's #MakeShitMonday! Lets see your project progress or things you've made. Anything goes!
I made a short clip showing the progression of the weight stand I designed and built. Four design iterations in cad then cut, weld, prime, and paint.

Show me what you got!
Haha I forgot that we follow each other there, I don't know who is where anymore π
I miss the old twitter
Not sure if it requires an account but I can find another upload somewhere to point you to if you don't have one there.
23.02.2026 02:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I bet there are a ton of tools we both have but probably a good number of ones that one or the other doesn't! That would be an interesting conversation haha.
That's a Singer 500a, I just restored it about a week or so ago and I'm putting it through its paces.

HA, a shared space with you would be quite dangerous for the pocket book but *so* worth it, that would be incredibly fun!
22.02.2026 23:26 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have wanted to try this out too! I just keep thinking about how big of a laser cutter I need and keep revising my estimates upward until I'm at the point I need to rent shop space
22.02.2026 22:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Ha, that's pretty funny.
Cutting on the bias makes sense for the stretch. Thanks!
I have heard binding strip and bias tape, there are probably differences but at this point I am too afraid to ask haha
22.02.2026 18:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks! Honestly you could probably get to this point in a month if you dedicate some evenings to it. I have been without a machine for a couple years so I have a lot of things on the back burner but I mostly started with adjusting clothes for work, previous machine would struggle with these fabrics
22.02.2026 17:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Quick video to show how the seams were hidden, not as great as you'd be able to see it during construction but it's something
22.02.2026 17:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do both, some seams are hidden under a floating liner and the rest get grosgrain or bias tape. I don't have more construction pictures or I'd show you :/
Next time I make something
Thanks!
22.02.2026 08:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Made a shoulder bag with a 400 denier shell and ripstop liner. I'm happy with how it turned out but I'm still waiting on the g-hook so I can attach it to my hiking pack to test it out.
