My sister has asked for a serger and for me to teacher her. Which is a problem. Part of it it ' Cool! New toys! ' Part is I learn a lot with tinkering. It's not my best learning type but go with what you have.

I kept getting frustrated and trying something different. The gossip is still great.

When I try sewing clothes the group tends to split between people who haven't tried sewing clothes and think it would be too hard and the group that has been sewing for so long they can't remember the early learning curve and the pitfalls.

I wasn't giving an answer just my best guess. When I go and sew quilts, there is gossip and people look at other people's work and encourage each other. ( It's fantastic.)

Everyone is sewing the same thing in a quilting group, and clothes are individual?
