Looks like another "NIH" statement passed down by the Trump/MAGA political appointees. (We hear that DOGE people are showing up at #NIH meetings, like Soviet apparatchiks, to monitor NIH leaders.)

We get news of an apparent breakthrough in pancreatic cancer — usually a death sentence, one of the cancers with the worst outcomes — and Trump and Musk are blowing up NIH and with it future cancer cures.

The American people didn’t vote for this.

I wouldn’t be a scientist without the NIH SIP. I was a pre-med going through the motions but my summer at the NIH captivated me & showed me a different path. I was overjoyed when the first trainee from my own lab went last summer & also had a magical experience. This is a devastating loss
