There are 15.4 million undergraduate students in the US. Just over half, 7.9 million attend a 4-year university full-time.

It is frankly strange to think the modal US higher ed experience has anything to do with residential 4 year colleges and universities where full-time students don't work and spend their time on campus politics.

Too bad for Stargate and other data center projects that need this extra capacity.

Really pleased with this new paper out with Peter Nagy and the reception we are getting for it.

Our ED @ginasue.bsky.social delivered the opening keynote at this year's Kyunghyang Forum in Seoul.

She spoke to Korean business leaders and policymakers about the stories we tell about AI, and the disconnect between the confidence of tech companies and the powerlessness felt by everyday people.

In her speech, @ginasue.bsky.social argued for a rethink of how we discuss AI, challenging the assumption that the future is automatic. She shared insights on the governing new tech, public participation in decisions about AI, and how we can break free from big tech's vision for our AI future.
