I have same feeling. I’ve tried the linking system many times without success. I wonder if I could effectively search my notes like GG or AI without using tags or links at all.

I also have used WHAT for 1 year. much better than other systems. Giving that I'm not multitasker.

I know I am at middle age when I no longer remember where is my spare key.

It’s not “AI replaces software engineers.”

It’s “AI changes what software engineers do.”

GG Search is dying, it is slowly but unstoppable.

I haven't used GG anymore for few months, only use llm and most of time, get the right info in easy to understand pieces.

People who “remember everything” don’t have better memory. they have:

- Clearer structures

- Smarter strategies for learning and revisiting

There is one thing that keeps me resilient: Don't compare your chapter 5 with someone else's chapter 100. Compare your chapter 5 with your own chapters 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0.

I don’t have a massive plan.

What I have is a one-page filled with tasks I need—or I think I need—to do.

I look at this list every day and ask myself: What is the next thing I should focus on?

I move that item to the top and remove anything I no longer find valuable

I always remind me why I start to do the indie app. Without the vision, I will get lost, do wrong.

I just want to get my time back. I count weeks & days I have before i'm too old. I don't want to spend my whole young life in 9-5. It's a new modern factory.

I stopped thinking about work before bed. But some nights, my stomach twists as I worry about how competitors are doing. Ideas pop up, and sometimes I feel the urge to change plans immediately just to keep up.

Then morning comes, sip my coffee, last night’s ideas were garbage.

My stack to deploy mac app, save me ton of time and help me shipfast:
1. fastlane to build binary
2. python script to notarise, zip, create DMG
3. sparkle to auto update the app
4. python script to auto upload the binary to cloudflare.

All of them is packed in 1 script file.

It is just number in the computer, there is no real value in this. Just a bloat, so need to deflate.

At 34yrs dev, with 1 kid & 1 baby, here's what my life looks like:

Go to sleep at 8 pm, the same time as my child. Wake up at 3 am to feed my baby. Then I code from 4 to 7 am before my kid wakes up. From 9 to 3 pm, I continue to code. From 4 to 8pm is family time.
