It's okay. We're both kind of fancy, even if we don't like to admit it.😁

Much more of my fight comes from my Montana people than it does from my political milieu. (Although they would never use the word milieu.😁)

Newport officials raise alarm about possible new ICE facility Rumors have spread since last week that the Trump administration is planning an outpost on Oregon's central coast.

DHS/ICE sneaking to set up outpost on Oregon central coast

Sounds like DHS is quietly trying to take over the Coast Guard air facilities south of Newport. They've already moved the rescue helicopter 100 miles south, to North Bend (near Coos Bay), which is not good for future rescues near Newport.

And it was an incredibly minor inconvenience, 10% of flights is pretty meaningless in the scheme of things. Everyone I know who flew yesterday had no problem!

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Any β€œdeal” that ends with Dems just getting a pinky promise in return is a mistake.

The American people are suffering because Republicans refuse to stop healthcare costs from skyrocketing. An agreement that doesn’t fix that reality falls massively short.

Trump administration moves to dissolve ban on Abrego Garcia's removal to deport him to Liberia The Trump administration has moved to dissolve the ban on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's removal so that it can proceed with his deportation to Liberia.

The Trump admin yesterday began the final push to have Kilmar Abrego Garcia deported to Liberia, in yet another effort to punish him for making them look bad after they illegally and mistakenly deported him to El Salvador. abcnews.go.com/US/trump-adm...

Masked ICE agents put damper on Oak Park Girl Scout food drive: β€˜It’s heartbreaking as a mom’ Federal immigration agents were confronted in Oak Park on Saturday morning by residents blowing whistles as local Girl Scouts collect food for local pantries, rattling some girls and their parents.

Girl Scouts in a Chicago Suburb hosted a food drive. But the girls encountered masked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents with weapons.

"ICE turned it into a scary and what felt like an unsafe environment for us to be out with these kids"

Georgia Teen Launches SNAP Pause Support to Feed Families In His Community During Shutdown As Georgia suspends SNAP benefits amid a government shutdown, one teen is taking action to help families stay fed.

it’s so amazing to see young folks organizing in the wake of a government that has abdicated responsibility and a state that is playing politics. This young man is 16 and has raised $2300+ already for local families in Gwinnett, GA. shorturl.at/ErW4e

BLACK OUT FRIDAY II LOG OUT MONDAY
This Black Friday through Cyber Monday, we're not shopping. We're boycotting.
We're stepping away from corporate consumerism and stepping into community connection.
From November 29th to December 2nd, we're boycotting the biggest shopping weekend of the year.
WHY WE ARE DOING THIS:
"The goal is simple: remove their money, remove their power. Only then will We The People have a real seat at the table to decide the future of our country." - The Big Beautiful Boycott
Its not good vs bad, it's the 1% vs the 99%. It's about reclaiming our future from the grip of unchecked corporate greed.
OUR DEMANDS:
β€’ Take money out of politics
β€’ End corporate price gouging
β€’ Give all employees fair and livable wages, and affordable healthcare
β€’ Ensure safe work conditions
β€’ Corporate accountability & tax justice
WHAT TO DO INSTEAD:
β€’ Host or join food drive
β€’ Organize or join mutual aid efforts
β€’ Participate in bartering circles
β€’ Share resources, stories, and solidarity
WHAT IS THE PLAN?
1. No Corporate splurging.
No Doorbuster Sales: This weekend, we're turning off hyper-consumption.
No shopping from November 29th to December 2nd-and no sidestepping the boycott by buying just before or after.
2. Support small, local, and minority-owned businesses. Let's show the 1% the true meaning of "Money Talks."
3. Avoid these top corporate giants-Stay tuned for spotlights on why these businesses were selected:
β€’ Amazon
β€’ Apple
β€’ Best Buy
β€’ Home Depot
β€’ Target
β€’ Walmart

One of the most interesting parts about this is the AG is arguing this was a private event which would restrict free speech.

All of my reporting indicates that it was not.

It was β€” by all accounts β€” a public event.

Coloradans on SNAP could get their November benefits in the next few days That will come as welcome news to the 600,000 Coloradans, half of whom are children, who rely on SNAP funding to help buy groceries each month.

JUST IN: "After the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Friday it would comply with a federal court ruling and issue full November federal food aid, Colorado announced some recipients could start seeing benefits on their EBT cards as soon as Saturday," reports @caitlynkim.bsky.social:
