The reason you don't do this is that accepting this premise validates the bad faith indictment of the vast majority of the most informed anti-genocide solidarity activists in Toronto on the false charge of antisemitism. In elevating one minor "mistake" you make it seem like you had no deeper or more systematic critique. Again, the effect was ultimately validating of what he's doing.
