I always forget Iβm here too.
04.10.2025 21:25 β π 17 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0According to @sanasaeed.bsky.social, mainstream outlets use stories that highlight the toll of human suffering in Gaza to defend themselves when accused of bias.
βThese types of βgood storiesβ still diminish the role of the United States and Israel in the genocide itself.β
New from @attackerman.bsky.social: Considering the attack on Qatar, an essay by @sanasaeed.bsky.social, and a book by Omar El Akkad.

05.06.2025 21:10 β π 28 π 1 π¬ 5 π 0Sounds of Israeli bombardment tonight:
16.05.2025 00:22 β π 16 π 11 π¬ 0 π 1More tweets from those in Gaza
16.05.2025 00:21 β π 28 π 15 π¬ 1 π 0Youβre here and not necessarily hearing / reading the experiences of Palestinians in Gaza in real time.
Here are just some of the tweets from Palestinians in Gaza as Israel turns this into one of the bloodiest nights of the genocide.
Agreed. One of the best films Iβve seen in awhile and she carried that film on her back, shoulders and in her eyes.
03.03.2025 07:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0yeah the woman who starred in a film about the cruel discarding of aging women in the entertainment industry in exchange for the hot new piece of ass losing to, well, pretty much that ..is too on the nose.
03.03.2025 06:10 β π 24 π 2 π¬ 3 π 0Trumpβs plan for βemptyingβ Gaza had headlines and reports using the word βethnic cleansingβ and referencing it as a violation of international law. 145 Democrats called it βmorally indefensibleβ.
None of that for Israelβs actual crimes.
Israel wants to extend the war, not the ceasefire.
Itβs campaign of starvation - a war crime - is presented just as a tactic to extend the first phase of the ceasefire.
Israel wants to extend the first phase because the second phase would require it to withdraw its troops from Gaza & end the war.
This act is unequivocally anti-Muslim, it is an intentional desecration of the holy month; it is another iteration of the ethnosupremacy that has been a defining feature of the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide of Palestinians.
02.03.2025 20:59 β π 19 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0At a time when Muslims are already fasting out of spiritual and communal devotion, Israel wants to starve them - thereβs almost a humor in it for them.
02.03.2025 20:59 β π 29 π 6 π¬ 1 π 0There is something pathologically cruelβdistinctly Israeli, in its calculated brutalityβabout starving a population that is 99% Muslim on the second day of Ramadan.
02.03.2025 20:59 β π 58 π 17 π¬ 2 π 0This is actually insane? They werenβt even US citizens?
Their deathsβat the hands of Israelβare being used as a war cry for continuing the extermination of Palestinians. Itβs become abundantly clear that the culture and embrace of genocide in this country wonβt be dismantled.
If we want to talk about a theater of macabre, that performs humiliation and desecration of the dead, the Israelis are its greatest playwrights.
26.02.2025 03:58 β π 32 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0Weβve had 16 months straight of IDF soldiers filming themselves and taking photos of themselves wearing Palestinian womenβs lingerie, playing and desecrating the bedrooms of children theyβve displaced, stepping on skulls of decomposed Palestinians.. itβs never ending.
26.02.2025 03:58 β π 30 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Incredible thing to write and publish while a video, taken by an IDF soldier, of dogs eating the carcass of a murdered Palestinian circulates on social mediaβnot an outlier of Israeli treatment of the Palestinians theyβve killed, but the norm.
26.02.2025 03:58 β π 65 π 19 π¬ 2 π 1Because thats the thing: the only way to create empathy for Israelis and manufacture them as the primary victims is, as weβve seen, through presenting Palestinians as worthy of receiving every type of violence.
20.02.2025 23:11 β π 37 π 11 π¬ 0 π 0Constantly witnessing the humanization of every Israeli - by our media, elected officials, everyone - through the genocidal dehumanization of every single Palestinian is really goddamn exhausting.
20.02.2025 23:11 β π 55 π 11 π¬ 1 π 0I also want to note that the New York Times is well aware of how ethically compromised (to put it politely) Screams without Words was because they shelved The Daily episode about it. They just refuse to takedown and issue a correction & apology for the original.
20.02.2025 18:37 β π 14 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0That is intentional. Just as it was intentional that the New York Times published a poorly investigated piece based on fabricated testimonies that was then kept up despite being completely debunked./3
20.02.2025 18:37 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0It cannot be emphasized enough how hard you have to work when writing a report, when editing that report, to not refer to something that is clearly a type of violence (like sexual violence) as what it is. βSexual violenceβ is not a legal term, so there is no legal caution to be taken here. /2
20.02.2025 18:37 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The NYT is single-handedly responsible for one of the foundational lies that was used to justify the genocide of Palestinians: βScreams without wordsβ.
Between that & this, it really should end any discussion about the breadth of *intentional complicity* in genocide manufacturing by the NYT.
In September 2024, Israel sent a truck of 88 bodies to Gaza without any identification or explanation for how and where they were killed.
In 2019, the Israeli High Court ruled that Palestinian bodies could be held by Israel as a bargaining chip.
In July, Haaretz reported that there are more than 1500 Palestinian bodies held at the Sde Teiman torture camp, alleged to be primarily of Hamas fighters from Oct 7th. There are also bodies that Israel has taken from inside Gaza of Palestinians it had killed or stolen from cemeteries& hospitals.
20.02.2025 18:34 β π 13 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0According to the National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of Martyrs, the Israelis currently hold the bodies of at least 665 Palestinians in Israeli cemeteries and morgues, some since the 60s & 70s.
59 bodies are of children and 259 bodies have been held since Oct 7. /1
gonna try to be a bit more active on here againβ¨
19.02.2025 22:54 β π 39 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0A ceasefire doesnβt end a genocide.
From the Herero & Nama genocide to the Holocaust to the man-made famines that forged the global south, genocidal projects often achieve the most harm and extermination not through bullets and bombs but the purposeful spread of disease and starvation.
The CNN report also mentions the incident where aid trucks were looted recently, but makes no mentions of the fact that the gangs operate under the support of the IDF β an accusation made by aid groups.
