🎓🏆 The University of Trento passed the baton to the Cohab Initiative & Capitals Coalition - hosts of the 7th #SELINAWorkshop.
🙏✨ Huge thanks to our amazing Trento hosts for this inspiring 4-day journey.

🌅🧭The final session for the 6th #SELINAWorkshop was “Ethical & justice considerations in DPs & test sites” led by Conor Kretsch.
🧩 Conor also shared the floor to the LUH partners for a short update from Work Package 11.

🌍👥The afternoon featured the session “Decision support across governance levels: A DP cross-comparison”. Participants explored action points at Local, Regional & National levels divided in groups led by Jarumi Kato-Huerta, Davide Geneletti, David Barton & Sylvie Clappe.

🥗 The lunch break gave everyone new energy for the next round of presentations: Work Packages 8, 9 & 10.

🌿 The presentations were led by Jarumi Kato Huerta (UniTrento), Martine van Weelden (Capitals Coalition) & Julia Wentworth (UNEP-WCMC).

🍃🌍 Our next #SELINAWorkshop session: “Advancing ecosystem conditions, ecosystem services & accounting integration in DPs/test sites” focused on shaping an action plan for aligning outputs towards a peer-reviewed paper.

📊💡 Day 3 of the #SELINAWorkshop continued with updates from Work Packages 3, 4 & 5, led by Fernando Santos (URJC), David Barton (NINA) & Nicolas Grondard (WU).

🌿🧭 Day 3 of the 6th #SELINAWorkshop kicked off with a session by Nicolas Grondard (WU) on “Crosswalks between MAES, SEEA EA & IPBES”.

💬Attendees split into 4 groups, sparking a great multi-level discussion to refine results & finalise the task!

🎙️ Day 2 of #SELINAWorkshop concluded with a session led by Mieke Siebers and Iskra Konovska (FSD), titled “Shared use of evidence between the public and private sectors”.

💡The discussion focused on the key opportunities and challenges related to sharing evidence across public and private sectors.

💬 📢 Day 2 of the #SELINAWorkshop continued with a session led by Raya Ganeva from @pensoft.net , who presented “Communication and dissemination strategies for the public sector”, providing recommendations and shared principles to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and uptake of project outputs.

📚🎤 The second half of Day 2 continued with a series of presentations, beginning with updates on Work Packages 1, 2, and 7, led by @benjaminburkhard.bsky.social (LUH), Inge Liekens (VITO), and Raya Ganeva (@pensoft.net).

🏔️ Day 2 of the 6th #SELINAWorkshop began with an exploration of the stunning Trento mountains.

🚶‍♀️🌿 Participants enjoyed a hike on Mount Bondone, followed by a visit to the beautiful Viote Botanical Garden 🌸 in Trento.

Our final session of the day, “Creating lasting impact: how to apply science into practice,” was led by Martine van Weelden and Lisa Heine from CapitalsCoalition.

🤝✨ Participants worked in groups to define gaps, opportunities, and needs to boost research accessibility and impact.

📊 The first Work Package update of the 6th #SELINAWorkshop focused on WP6, presented by our colleagues from LUH — @benjaminburkhard.bsky.social, Joana Seguin, Sabine Lange, and Luke Brander.

💡🤝 Great insights into the progress and next steps ahead!

🌱 The fourth #SELINAWorkshop session, “Analysis of Seeds of Change and Implications for DPs and Test Sites,” was led by Inge Liekens and Maria Caballero-Pons from VITO.

💬🔍 This breakout session explored feedback from research groups and identified key enabling actors and barriers.

📘 The third #SELINAWorkshop session focused on “The Compendium of Guidance as a tool for decision support.”

🌍🖼️ Led by Julia Wentworth (UNEP-WCMC) and Sabine Lange (LUH), it presented updates to the CoG and a visual mock-up of the Framework for Integrated Ecosystem Assessment.

🗣️🌍 The second session of the day, “Dialogue on decision-makers’ needs,” was led by Julia Wentworth from UNEP-WCMC.
💡🤝 With four inspiring speakers, it successfully explored how SELINA’s outputs can be more useful, timely, and aligned with policy demands.

🌿 The next #SELINAWorkshop talk was held by Andreas Fernandez, Deputy Mayor for Ecological and Energy Transition in Trento.

💬🏙️ He presented “Implementing greening strategies in cities: A politician’s perspective”, offering an engaging view of the policy side.

🌳 The next presentation at the 6th #SELINAWorkshop was led by Giovanna Ulrici from the Parks and Gardens Office of the Municipality of Trento.

💬🌿 She presented “The Trento Urban Green Plan: Process, actors, challenges,” sharing insights into the city’s journey through the creation of the Plan.

🌿 The second presentation of the 6th #SELINAWorkshop was delivered by Anna Chiesura from the ISPRA.

💡🌱 Her talk, “Urban greening in Italy: from national strategies to local plans,” highlighted both the progress already achieved and the challenges faced in implementing these goals. 💡🌱
