11.09.2025 20:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh, and apparently people hate BL4 because Pitchford decided to make the mistake of speaking again. Gearbox should really crate and muzzle him on media visits.
But if I swore off all games that had an exec involved being a slavering ghoul, I'd just be really REALLY good at Game & Watch.
Borderlands 4 should be a good time. I know this is a controversial take.
As is my love of BL3. But horrible main story decisions aside I loved 3/4 of the expansions, and Zane is my favorite vault hunter period.
I expect I should I find at least one Character to equally latch onto in 4.
Oh!
Good afternoon, friends, been a hot minute. How are you all today?
Me? Oh, just the usual. I'm just over here taking a time out and playing a very, VERY tiny violin.
Why? Well...I dunno. Just feels RIGHT for some reason.
I was going to add some kind of snarky commentary as is my wont, but sometimes just what's already written already suffices.
Much love and appreciation towards my Trans homies. Today and every day.
Ay yo, apparently Jon Lovitz and Al Jean are working on a potential revival of The Critic.
Not going to hold my breath, but if this happens, I may actually have ONE gleaming bit of joy to come out of the nightmare timeline we're currently in that I can point to.
Welp, I think it finally happened. Gaming has ruined my dopamine regulation.
Get a raise at work - "Meh, not bad."
Royal Flush in Balatro - "I AM THE LIZARD KING, I CAN DO ANYTHING"
That is a finely curated list of gaming interests, pal. I'm in.
30.03.2025 05:29 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Also, as with most of the internet, Lucy, as a character, gives me some VERY confusing feelings.
13.03.2025 07:42 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I feel in the minority in saying that I like Everhood 2 more than the first one. Sure, the overarching narrative isn't as 'deep' as the first one, but it's exactly the kind of disjointed a-la carte story arc adventure I loved in Legend of Mana all those years ago, and the music still slaps.
13.03.2025 07:42 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0My friend! Halloween is my religion, and Halloween Horror Nights and Knott's Scary Farm is my church.
Well, second religion, Videro Games is the first.
Also love me some Beat Em Ups - the era of Final Fight, Violent Storm and Metamorphic Force is one that desperately needs re-kindling.
Hundred Line demo completed - I dig it. Battle system seems a tad barebones, but I definitely feel the familiarity Danganronpa games always invoked.
HOWEVER, Kodaka continues to prove that he is incapable of beating the "Create a mascot that isn't simultaneously cute and horrifying" challenge.
Urgh...I want to save for Phainon and the Fate collab, but Mydei looks so cool.:V
Wallet kun might be in for another whipping here, unfortunately.
I kind of blame the era of the "exaggerated game reviewer" that the aughts ushered in. People emulated it, then others emulated them, and so on.
But it's been so long that everyone forgot AVGN was doing a bit, and Yahtzee almost always balances his gripes with praise, even on most bad games.
FGO does this too. People tend to conflate lack of convenience with difficulty. Like, yeah, maybe it isn't 0 cycles, but my Feixiao still mows down most challenges despite "followup isn't meta anymore".
And while FGO players complain, Honako Green is STILL soloing everything with Cu.
God I love Jon Lovitz. I'd do HORRIBLE things for a revival of the Critic.
(Was hoping to redo this comment with audio working, because no audio on a Franklin Sherman clip is a crime, but apparently no audio is the default. C'est la vie.)
โWow youโve got 100โs of hours in this game. You must be good!โ
Me:
Elevator pitch: Investigate and escape an abandoned science facility with a grouchy, Soviet-era robot teddy bear.
"Bob, this game is non sequitor after non sequitur and I feel dumber for having touched it. I hate you for recommending it, and anyone who plays it.
-Cordially, Ted"
Played this for the first time in a while last night after not sleeping for 52 hours. Turns out it CAN get funnier and more bizarre than it already was.
Still wholeheartedly recommend (Maize, I mean, not the sleep deprivation. Don't try it, kids, it's a bad way to live.)
Persona and Gurren Lagann spotted, all further mutual interests are just a bonus๐ค

Afternoon mutuals! I have a few extra steam keys I got in a charity bundle that I already own, so I thought I'd offer them up, first come first serve!
Its not required or anything, but if you score one of them, I'd request leaving the other one for someone else, thanks!
I've still got mine from way back when. It's my prized FFT/Persona 2/Legend of Dragoon specialist.
Still fully functional, too, aside from the battery life being virtually non-existent now.
The Vita didn't get enough credit for how solid it was as a machine.
ALTHOUGH, now that I think about it, I guess there is something comparable, if not quite as pure:
Going to the game's wiki and/or gamefaqs to pass the time while it downloads.
A simple joy of gaming I truly mourn for in young modern gamers:
The moment of sheer excitement and joy of getting a game, and tearing it open in the car to read the manual, to pass the agonizing moments till you can get home and put it in the console.
